Relish Coffee was born...
Polat, born and raised in Turkey shipped off to the UK in 2001 where he began work in a well known coffee chain as a Barista. Reminding him of the coffee aroma in the markets where he grew up Polat soon fell in love with the whole coffee experience.
The different process’ of making coffee and the flavours that could be created fascinated Polat and his passion for coffee was ignited.
View the rangeFrustrated by the restrictive nature of the corporate world, the journey of Relish Coffee started by Polat in Whitley Bay, 2012. Mike, a colleague and friend felt the same way and joined this small business where their roasting adventure began.
Scottish through and through, Mike packed his bags and dispatched to England in 2007 where he started working with Polat. Their friendship and love for great coffee has brought Relish to where it is today.
Two coffee addicts together, their combined years of knowledge in the coffee industry and hard work have allowed their dreams have become reality. Together, they want to bring you a diverse coffee experience of strengths and flavours from around the world.
Their dream for the future – to grow their very own coffee beans on their own farm so they can bring you the experience of ‘whole bean to cup’ in a more artisan and personal way.
